Congratulations!

You have been chosen to go back in time to Imperial Rome by the World History Museum and Organization to witness first hand the historical events which lead up to the creation of Imperial Rome and the legacy it left behind. But before you go back in time and in order to attend this once in a lifetime experience, you must familiarize yourself and gain an understanding of Roman society at the time of Imperial Rome. This is a must, as your life and survival throughout this period will be dependent on you gaining an understanding of Roman Society.

General Information About Ancient Roman History

Roman History is usually divided into three main periods. the first period is before the rise of the Roman Republic, the Roman Republic, and finally the Roman Empire, the later of which was ruled by Roman Emperors. You will be studying the Roman Empire, the 3rd period in Roman history.

Imperial Rome began in 30 B.C.E and ended in 476 C.E When the Western Roman Empire collapsed. The Roman Empire lasted for over 1000 years and it conquered much of the known world . Its Empire was vast, stretching from England to North Africa, the middle east and right throughout the Mediterranean and most of Europe.
