Russian Revolution Turning points
March 1917
- Provisional Government (a Republic) takes over and creates liberal/constitutional reforms
- Lose popularity when they don't get Russia out of World War I
November 1917
- The Bolshevik Party (Communists) take over the provisional government
March 1918
- The Bolsheviks sign a peace treaty with Germany Ending Russia's involvement in World War I
July 1918
- Civil war between reds (communists) and whites (anti-communists and those loyal to the czar). The Czar and his family are executed.
March 1921
- Communist government wins the civil war.
