Aim: What is the value of learning vocabulary for the Global History Regents exam?

- Democracy
- Theocracy

- Dictatorship
- Absolute Monarchy
- Limited Monarchy
- Constitutional Monarchy

Procedure
- Students will receive a worksheet for the above definitions.
- Students are directed to homogeneous groups as they walk in to classroom
- Students are given directions to define the terms on their worksheet and give an example of a person, event, or a connection to history.
- Students will have 15 minutes to complete their worksheet
- Students will be given chart paper to write 2 of the definitions and 2 examples for class discussion.
- Students will present their information to the class with the teacher leading the discussion and asking other higher level questions for the students to make connections.
- Students will do round-robbin to discuss their definitions and examples.
