Lesson 21 - How to write your conclusion

Essay Conclusions

A conclusion is always necessary in an essay. Without it, you can never receive higher than a score of 2 on your essay.

Use the following steps to write your conclusion:

  1. Re-Write your theme/historical context (Topic Sentence)
    • You may reverse the order of the sentence as long as it means the same thing.
  2. Insert/Add a one line Summary for each of your Body Paragraphs. This could be one line of detail for each of your body paragraphs.
  3. Insert/Add one line that relates the your topic sentence to the world today or compares the time of your docs to today.
